Hula Hooping With Fire?

Okay, so I'm a newbie, and Im sure it'll show...hello everyone! :)

Anyways, I'm really interested in learning how to spin fire, but more specifically, hula hoop. I have friends in Santa Barbara who spin fire, but I haven't met anyone yet who hula hoops. :( So i don't really know where to start.

If anyone has any suggestions/tips that could lead me in the right way that would be awesome!
